During my time at my home placement, I had a specific class that I thought would be a challenge. Being able to adapt to all students needs, I was challenge by a Y9 mixed SEND class. My first lesson teaching this class of Dance was difficult with many boys being unwilling to participate, or to perform in front of the girls. Within this lesson, I had a Teaching Assistant attached who helped with the behaviour of the class but also circulated the room and helped with the creation of routines. A major success from this happened at the end of the scheme of work when all pupils produced incredible routines. Even the boys performed confidently and included all of the aspects that they had been asked for.
