Get into Teaching Internships
We are delighted to be able to offer Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Computing and Languages undergraduates the opportunity to earn £900 in June / July 2024 on the Department for Education Internship Scheme to learn about teaching at a secondary level.
Wigan and West Lancashire Catholic School Direct is now taking applications for our Teaching Internships Programme for Summer 2024.
The programme aims to enable undergraduates studying for a degree in a STEM or MFL-related degree the opportunity to experience teaching.
Internships are available in Maths, Physics, Chemistry, MFL and Computing, allowing you to spend time in a secondary school before committing to teaching as a career. This might be the start of a fantastic career for you, with follow-up support for applying to teacher training if you decide it is the career for you.
The programme is part of the Get into Teaching service, supporting prospective teachers throughout their journey into the profession.
Applications are open now. The deadline for application is the 12th January, 2024.
Please get in touch with us through enquiries if you have further questions.
